I know plenty of immature people in any age range, so I don't think that it really matters, even if their maturity level is around that of a five year old :P

The best solution would be the herd them all into one district, where they can flame each other to boost their egos all they want

I saw an interesting documentary about human psychology.
A person's behaviour changes drastically when there is a reflection of them present. That's why some offices have mirrors in them!

So how about everytime you post something in chat a little window appears with your real life picture in it. lol

I know it's silly.

There have been crowds of people in RA the last few days swearing, spamming and insulting people. There were far many more than usual.

From the chat, it looked like they were trying to get themselves reported thinking that it would give them dishonorable "points".

What was clear though was that they did not understand that what they were doing was far beyond earning dishonor points. They were on their way to a temp and maybe even a perma-ban.

I wonder how many of them woke up this morning to find their accounts suspended or bannd.

So what?

People call each other names.

It isn't as if it is any of your business... really.
Ignore them.
If they get you involved... then retaliate or ignore them... but you can't expect the folks upstairs to take your side and smack them for you. THAT is immaturity.

Wow. That would kill foulmouthed annoying little brat problems and cybersex problems in one fell swoop. Not a bad idea.

Well, GW is a suppose to be a peaceful area for fun. Ruined by immature kids us definitely not cool.

I mean play with kids are ok, as long as they behave themselves. But as I know young people of today aren't very well 'educated' since their parents don't care for them or too busy to work.

I saw a lots of 'untrained savages' in kamadan at night...

I know that most serious players use Vent or Teamspeak, and that's really cool and all; I even use it when I have a working mic. But sometimes when I don't have a working mic, or a player doesn't have a working mic, then we have to type it out in chat. Not every cool, skilled player is an expert typist/never misspells anything ya' know? I know some really smart people; people with a typing record of 80+WPM still occasionally misspell something, or gets a typo.

Although I agree, the local chat is sometimes filled with immaturity. I admit I sometimes get trapped in flames, or online slang. Does that make me a bad person?

I usually leave local chat off, and only chat to guild/allience friends. But when i'm trying to sell wares, i'll turn it back on. I also turn it back on when i'm looking for a PUG. But then again, I usually don't take offense to most things. Working customer service for a number of years, plus a lot of R rated films, anime, television, high school (), etc etc etc... have really desensitized me to excessive language.

I have friends who really take offense to it, and I ask them "why?? They're only words!" They usually have no response to this at all, or it's something like "but it's immature!" I don't disagree with them; it IS immature. When used childlessly, and excessively. There are times when excessive language can add to the atmosphere of a situation though. It can add to the charactor in a story, ot otherwise paint a picture of who that person is at the core.
Spell. Check.

Also, I was referencing baby eating with my inane suggestion that EVERYONE be booted off the intarweb for misspelling things.

Just as stoopid were all the "report people for bad language stay off local" spammers. Jesus nippleticks people, I've worked everywhere from your mom's cooch to the local liquor store, and I've yet to see anyone who keeled over and died from an f-bomb. Meanwhile, these nippleticks (my new favorite word) pretend that they are entitled to this magical experience where everything good happens to them and everyone else gets banned. Up this, down that, needs more teletubbies!

I tell you, I will not stand for it! I will not quietly go into the night! I will sit down and fight the nippleticks, and defend our inalienable rights to free speech and leaving lameasses mid-pvp! Are you with me?! ARE YOU WITH ME?!

(hint: some of the above _may_ have been for comedic value only. I know most of you couldn't find your butt with both hands and a map, so I figured I'd leave a lil' note. Coffee is hot, and all that)

My goodness! I agree alright? I already said I agreed that I don't care about people swearing.

Anyhoo, in my honest opinion, I think people who get offended by such language as just as imature as the people who think it's cool to use obscene language. Eff this, eff that, eff you, and eff your mom. What could be funnier? Paint the picture of a clown swearing someone out, and just laugh.
